“Caring Connections”: Caregiver Conference & Resource Fair For
caregivers, juggling numerous responsibilities, demands of work, caregiving, and family life, leads to increased stress, worry and
health problems. Statistics show that caregivers experience more
stress related illnesses and suffer from depression. Many are
ill-prepared for their role in caring for someone and often have
little or no financial support and face additional financial and
legal difficulties. Caregivers are in need of support, education,
and access to information and services. As a generation of baby
boomers near retirement and the population of older adults rapidly
increases, the need is expected to grow dramatically.
