The New River Valley Agency on Aging exists to support and enhance the lives of older adults, their families, and caregivers through advocacy, information, and services.

Through our website we want to assist you in finding out more about who we are, what we do, and where to turn for the help you may need. The New River Valley Agency on Aging is committed to finding more efficient and effective ways to respond to the needs of older adults and caregivers in the New River Valley.

The Agency will occupy a satellite office located at the Jesse Peterman Memorial Library at 321 West Main Street in Floyd on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 10am - 5pm.  You may call the main Agency office number to speak to a staff member stationed at the Floyd location (540) 980-7720

Medicare Part D open enrolment will begin on October 15, 2015 - December 7, 2015. Please see the VICAP Program Page located bysearching the Programs and Services to the left or above and the Virginia Insurance Counseling Program (VICAP) page. Forms are available for download and completion.            

Volunteer Program Coordinator

PT position (approximately 20 hrs per week) to implement and manage a program to engage individuals; primarily adults age 50+,  in volunteer experiences with local non-profits, governments and special projects in Pulaski Town and County.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, high level organization skills and a valid driver’s license is required.

Experience in volunteer program management, resource development, public relations or business is needed.

Education equivalent to an associates or bachelor’s degree in human services, marketing or public administration is highly desired.
